Everything that’s good for your ‘Seoul’ in South Korea.
Seoul Travel Guide: Our Favorite Spots
Seoul has so much to offer: incredibly cute and quirky cafes, bustling markets filled with K-beauty products you never knew you needed, temples that awaken inner peace, royal palaces bustling with tourists dressed in hanboks, and, of course, the greatest salt butter bread ever! This luxury vegetarian/vegan Seoul guide highlights some of our favorite cafés, bakeries, and other food spots across the city.

Nuldam Space
At Nuldam Space, a fully vegan café, you can enjoy more than just delicious vegan treats and black sesame lattes. While savoring our drinks, we had the unique opportunity to write a letter to our future selves! Each of us was given pen and paper – such an old school cool and refreshing break from endless doom scrolling. After penning our own unique messages, we sealed our letters with hot wax and selected a date in the following year we wanted it to be delivered. We found this concept truly beautiful, offering a thoughtful way to capture memories while on vacation. Our visit felt even more special with the sound of the gentle spring rain creating a cozy ambiance.
Honestly, the black sesame latte was the best I’ve ever tasted, and the vegan croissants were as yum as they looked. The staff was friendly, and the vibe was wonderfully relaxed. With multiple seating levels, it wasn’t hard to find a spot to unwind and be creative. This café is most definitely worth adding to your Seoul itinerary!

Cheongsudang Bakery
Another cafe that left an impression was Cheongsudang Bakery. This one was built for instagram – especially the entrance! However, because it’s so popular, we had a hard time finding seating. There was a good variety of drinks, but sadly, this place wasn’t very vegan friendly, and most deserts contained eggs.
I would visit here mainly for the ambiance, but be aware of time as it can get really crowded, which may detract from your experience.
Jayeondo Salt Bread
Our discovery of salt butter bread and specifically this bakery was pure serendipity. While wandering before lunch, we spotted a long line of people waiting. As we approached the front, the irresistible aroma of salted butter bread filled the air. We learnt later that this treat is incredibly popular in South Korea, and for good reason. We quickly rushed back to the end of the line and eagerly waited to satisfy our own hungry stomachs. They sell it in the cutest environmentally friendly packaging, and the bread itself was so worth the wait. It melts in your mouth and tastes exactly as you would expect. Luckily, for us, the ingredient list was simple and did not contain eggs, which means it is suitable for lacto-vegetarians.
Don’t leave Seoul without tasting this delightfully simple and satisfying bread!
